Carole K fashion jewellery is unusual jewellery, with designs that are chunky, funky, elegant or outrageous – for weddings, special events or day-to-day-use.

I use the best quality materials available, easy to hold clasps and a variety of designs, colours and shapes, adapted from the latest fashion forecasts. The Carole K Gallery and Studio is an ideal place to visit, for a private viewing. You can bring family and friends for a visit to discuss your requirements or to try on over a hundred different styles of jewellery. You can enjoy the rural atmosphere as you relax in comfortable surroundings in our stylish salon with a cup of tea or coffee. Prices vary depending upon the stones, precious metals in the design, length and quantity of gems.

The Carole K Gallery has been described as the “hidden gem” in North Canterbury by a Wellington marketing advisor, working for the Canterbury Development Corporation.

My career is varied, working in the building industry, engineering, hospitality, insurance, television and films, property development – in marketing, sales, public relations, media and publications. I have lived and worked in Australia, England, Holland, Malta and New Zealand, travelling to many cities around the world. Work in NZ as a designer jeweller began after suffering a serious and chronic illness. The intensity of concentration gave me relief from pain and I found that I could adapt my knowledge with colour and design. Starting at the kitchen table, then a room of my own, we built a gallery and studio from farm sheds on our 8 hectare property. Several courses improved technique.

My business is my passion, working with many types of stones that all have a story. Humanity has been wearing adornments for about 38,000 years. We wear stones and gems because they are beautiful but in times gone by, to protect, act as a talisman, as currency, to bring love, ward off evil spirits, to create peace and tranquillity and to encourage strength and bravery. Creating jewellery is a pleasurable and humble existence.
